Can another device compete with the iPhone?
by Ana Maria Ciobanu

It was only a matter of time till the major phone vendors began to squeeze their brains out to create smart devices meant to live the iPhone with some dust in its eyes. I don't really know if this is really possible on a large scale, but at least in USA people would probably buy devices that have the iPhone's features and another phone carrier(other than AT&T). The smart phones announced for release till now are not even close to the wonderful look the iPhone is proud of. High Tech Computer has the Touch. A bad name in my opinion for a device that can't compete to the iPhone's touchscreen. You can see a picture of this device at: http://www.computerworld.com/action/article.do?command=viewArticleBasic&articleId=9023418 Samsung Group will release its Ultra Smart F700 which could compete a little with the iPhone. It has a wide touchscreen but it also has a pull-down QWERTY keyboard that makes it loose, in my opinion. A positive thing about it is that it has 3G support with speeds as high as 7.2Mbit/sec. It doesn't have the elegant look of an iPhone and I sincerely wonder if anyone else but Apple could come up with this sort of catchy look. To conclude, in terms of design and wonderful touchscreens iPhone is a winner and will probably be for a long time, in terms of phone carriers other devices will increase their value by allowing users to put exactly what they want on their devices and sign a contract for as long as they want. Maybe they shouldn't try to copy Apple's iPhone- no imitation can be as good as the original product, this is a fact- but to come up with something else, something original that the iPhone doesn't have and didn't think of having.
